Film Custom gives you seven sliders to build that signature look yourself, then adjust it to the room, the lighting, and what your client has pictured.

With sliders, you can create a warm, grainy look for a boho wedding, a crisp high-contrast black and white for a black-tie gala, and a soft, nostalgic glow for a brand activation. Film Custom
Seven controls to shape an analogue feel: exposure, contrast, softness, grain, warmth, vignette, and glow. Keep it subtle for a timeless wedding gallery, or turn up the grain, warmth, and glow for a true 70's nostalgic look.
Mono Custom
Fine-tune exposure, highlights, shadows, contrast, and colour response to create anything from a soft, editorial portrait to a bold, dramatic black and white. Colour response shifts how reds and blues translate into grey, so you can brighten skin tones or add depth to a dark backdrop.
Sell the experience
A custom look is easy to upsell when it's part of a theme. Pair Mono Custom with AI Glam and a Gatsby-style template for a polished black and white glam experience. Match Film Custom with a retro template for a 90s birthday or a vintage-inspired wedding. Clients book an experience, and you get a premium add-on to price into your packages.
What plan do I need to use Mono Custom and Film Custom?
Filters are available on all of the Booth.Events plans.
What's the difference between the two?
Mono Custom is for black and white photos, with controls that shape light and tone. Film Custom recreates the look of analogue film, with texture and warmth controls like grain, glow, and vignette.
Which settings can I adjust?
Mono Custom: exposure, highlights, contrast, shadows, and colour response.
Film Custom: exposure, contrast, softness, grain, warmth, vignette, and glow.
What does colour response do?
It controls how reds and blues show up in your black and white photos. Shift it one way for brighter, smoother skin tones, or the other for more texture and contrast.
Will grain and glow make my photos look low quality?
You control how strong every effect is. We recommend a few test shots under the actual event lighting before guests arrive, since a dim reception hall and a bright outdoor tent can call for very different settings.
Do the custom filters work with AI Glam?
Yes. Pair either filter with Glam for polished, editorial-style portraits.
